January saw my first shoot of 2018 for a wonderful, wintry Mulberry House wedding. In true British weather style, the day kicked off with snow followed by bouts of rain. However, the happy couple were not about to let this spoil their special day!
Bridal prep was at the grand and imposing Down Hall Hotel. Myself and the videographer made ourselves busy trying to capture as much of the ladies getting ready as possible. It was then a sedate drive off to the church in good time to meet the vicar and my second shooter who had been covering the Groom preperation.
Yules and Josh (but I’m guessing mainly Yules!) had obviously taken a lot of care and planning for their wedding with great attention to detail. This was particularly striking at the Church where the floral decorations were absolutely spectacular. I must say that it was also a great service with a the Vicar organising a bit of audience participation in the style of ‘Mr & Mrs’.
The evening reception took place at Mulberry House, Ongar. Given that the rain was back with a vengeance we decided to do the group shots inside, but it eased off enough for us to dash outside for five minutes prior to dinner to grab some shots on a little bridge over the duck pond.
After dinner and speeches the party got started with an 11 piece band providing the music to get everyone in the party mood.
This was my first Mulberry House wedding – and what a way to start; a brilliant day for two lovely people so very much in love.
