Leez Priory in Essex is a real gem for wedding photography and I was lucky enough to shoot there recently for Bernadette and Howard’s big day. The priory itself is a 16th century mansion with a colourful and exciting history. What I love about is is the fairytale castle feel it has; you can feel the history oozing from the brick work!
The grounds themselves are beautiful with many opportunities for some great photos. We managed to get down to the duck pond for some shots but had to wait for a few moments while some very protective Canadian geese took their little ones across the lawn and into the water – it made for some great shots.
I think you can probably tell from the photos here that it was a great day filled with lots of love and laughter. The latter no more ably demonstrated than by the ‘surprise’ that had been organised for the Bride and Groom after the meal. I won’t spoil it for any readers who may have something similar planned for their wedding day but suffice to say everyone one was up on their feet and had a great time.
I had a great time at Leez Priory providing the wedding photography and I’m looking forward to going back there again soon – hopefully!
If you are thinking of having your wedding / reception at Leez Priory and are looking for a photographer, drop me a line. It would be great to hear from you.
