Donna and Jeff’s wedding at the magnificent Gosfield Hall, Essex was a great day and really fun to photograph. I have known Jeff for a good few years and when we were both young and single probably spent far too much propping up the local bars in and around Wanstead. Of course now we are both Dads, a bit older and even a possibly bit wiser so it was a real pleasure to be able to play a part in his and Donna’s special day.
The preparations and ceremony took place in Brentwood with Donna getting ready at her Mum’s house. I was very well looked after with plenty of cups of tea which is always most welcome. It was all very organised with the bridesmaids pitching in and the hair and make up artist setting up shop in the conservatory for the best light. The ceremony itself took place in the local church. The children took part in a reading which I thought was a really nice touch.
After the service came the drive out to the venue. Gosfield Hall wedding photography is always something a little bit special. There are so many stunning backdrops to utilise both inside the Hall itself and in the grounds. I’m always conscious of not hogging the Bride and Groom from their guests though and I think we made good use of the time we had in getting the group shots as well as some of Donna, Jeff and, of course, their gorgeous little boy Dylan (who was brilliant the whole day and a real photography star!) One highlight for me was the Best Man’s speech by Neil. I have made sure to include some of the reaction shots in so you can judge its impact for yourself.
Everything about the day was perfect – from the venues, to the planning, the service and the party. Congratulations Donna and Jeff and very best wishes for your wedded future together!
