The drive down to photograph Amy & Matt’s Creslow Manor Wedding had something of the deja vu about it. Only the week before I had driven around the M25 and come off at the same junction but this time taking the family to Harry Potter World. A week later and I was in for a day just as magical!
I actually travelled down to Aylesbury the day before and stayed over. I’ll often do this if its an early start, a week day wedding or involves the M25! Staying over means I avoid any last minute snarl ups on the roads and can start the day a lot less stressfully, not having to worry about the drive.
Amy & Matt had there wedding split across three venues. A local hotel for the Bride prep, then onto a nearby Church for the ceremony and finally Creslow Manor itself for the reception and party.
This was my first time shooting a wedding at Creslow Manor. Amy & Matt had a wonderful marquee set up with straw bales and lanterns outside for guests to enjoy. I made the mistake of calling them hay bales to the farmer and was soon put straight! My favourite part of the night had to be Amy and Matt’s impromtu karaoke session during the speeches – very cute.
Creslow Manor had some lovely gardens and grounds to shoot in so we made the most of this for our Bride and Groom portraits. At the end of the evening there was a firework display which was a great way of seeing what been a brilliant day out.
I had great fun photographing this Creslow Manor wedding and massive congratulations to Amy & Matt
