This weekend I spent a great couple of hours with Kalee-Jane and Dan at Capel Manor for their pre-wedding shoot. It’s hard to believe that there is such a stunning venue like this in North London, just a stones throw from the M25. Shooting there this weekend has definitely made me want to make use of such a fantastic resource right on our doorstep. Capel Manor is a College teaching horticulture set in jaw-dropping grounds which are a photographers dream. There are ruins, lakes and a riot of colour from all manner of plants and flowers -it’s hard to imagine a more idyllic setting for a wedding!
I think Kalee-Jane & Dan were a bit nervous to start off with (!) but soon got into the swing of things. This is one of the great benefits of pre-wedding shoots in that it gives the couple and the photographer a chance to build a rapport and also try things different things before the big day. Despite some torrential downpours in the week, the weather was kind to us and the rain stayed well clear.
Here are some of my favourites from the session. Really looking forward to the day itself now!
